Who is Zedd?

Anton Zaslavski or better known as Zedd is a Grammy-winning EDM music producer and DJ. The name “Zedd” was derived from the first letter of his surname. He was brought up in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Both his parents were musicians. His mother was a piano teacher and his father was a guitarist. Zedd began his musical journey at the age of four. He started playing the piano and focused on learning classical music. Soon, he transitioned into playing the drums at the age of twelve. Eventually, Zedd started performing with Dioramic, a Deathcore German band.

Music Career

Soon after, Zedd was experimenting with electro house music and started producing his own tracks. When he left Dioramic in 2010, he won two Beatport remix contests. One of his original releases “The Anthem” was featured in the Beatport Electro House chart. During this period, he also remixed several popular tracks of artists like Skrillex, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga. The Black Eyed Peas, and many more. In 2012, Zedd released his debut studio album titled “Clarity”. 

The album’s third single “Clarity” was featured in the top 10 Billboard Hot 100 and sold more than 2.2 million copies. It also featured singer-songwriter Foxes and was certified platinum. Making it his most successful release ever. 

In 2015, Zedd released his second studio album titled “True Colors”. Its lead single “I Want You to Know” also featured Selena Gomez. Other tracks include “Stay”, “Break Free”, “The Middle” and more. Over the years, Zedd has won the hearts of millions of fans with his energetic and inspiring music. The EDM music industry has seen several talented musicians.
