The world of EDM has evolved and grown massively in the last decade. With a plethora of amazingly talented artists all around the globe, this genre of music is now at a whole new level. The music that these artists create is phenomenal and takes your senses to a whole new dimension. Be it rave parties, concerts, or individuals, everyone loves EDM! All that into consideration, there are definitely a few artists that have had an impact more than others. While it is impossible to compare and rank these incredible artists, we have created a list of some of the top EDM artists of all time!
- Avicii
Tim Bergling or better known by his stage name Avicii, was one of the best DJs the industry has ever witnessed. Born in Stockholm-Sweden, he started mixing in his bedroom by the age of 8. The Swedish DJ produced some iconic hits in his lifetime like “Wake Me Up”, “Without You”, “I Could Be the One” and many more. He created a huge impact on people with his music. But after having suffered from depression, stress, and mental health issues, Avicii committed suicide on 20th April 2018. He has left a huge void in the dance music world and in the hearts of millions of fans.

Considered as the legend of dance music, David Guetta is undoubtedly an amazing and phenomenal artist. Born and raised in Paris, he released his first album “Just a Little More Love” in 2002. And since then he has shown that there is nothing stopping him. Creating several iconic tracks like “When Love Takes Over” and “Titanium”, he has received multiple awards which include the Grammys and has been constantly featured in the DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs list.

Adam Richard Wiles or as we all know Calvin Harris is the highest-paid DJ in the world for many years now. Born in Dumfries-Scotland, he was first discovered on Myspace and from there on began his journey. Creating some of the most magical and sensational tracks like “We Found Love”, “Feel So Close” and many more, he has truly been a massive force in the dance music scene. The highest-earning DJ is also known for his philanthropic works and charitable personality.

Martijn Gerard Garritsen or better known as Martin Garrix is truly an amazingly sensational artist. Born in Amstelveen-Netherlands, he was just 17 when he started performing in iconic music festivals. Being one of the youngest and best DJs the industry has ever seen, he has created some phenomenal tracks like “Animals”, “In The Name of Love” and “Scared to be Lonely”. He was ranked number one on DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs list for three consecutive years. The 23-year-old Dutch artist has produced some of the best music ever in the dance music industry.
- Hardwell
Robbert van de Corput or better known by his stage name Hardwell is a pioneer and one of the best artists we have ever seen. Born in Breda-Netherlands, he started taking piano lessons at the age of four and by the age of twelve, he had produced his first song in the field of electro. He has ventured into various music genres such as progressive house, hardstyle, tech house, and created some phenomenal tracks. His iconic hits include “Spaceman”, “Zero 76” and many more. On 7th September 2018, Hardwell announced that he will be temporarily retiring from stage shows to focus on his personal life. We are definitely waiting for the return of this amazing artist.
