Lukas Rafael Ruiz Hespanhol or better known as Vintage Culture is a Brazilian DJ and record producer. Vintage Culture is best known for his popular remixes of tracks such as “Another Brick in the Wall” by Pink Floyd. and “Blue Monday” by New Order. With his viral music, Vintage Culture has earned a massive fan following in the EDM community. Some of his other popular remixes include versions of “Bidolibido” by Fernanda Abreu and “Bete Balanço” by Cazuza.
Early Life
The Brazilian DJ and music producer was born on July 7, 1993. Music played an important role throughout his childhood. He took inspiration from music groups like Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk. Vintage Culture is known for combining elements of Brazilian dance music with the music of the 90s.
Music Career
Having released sensational remixes of several popular songs, Vintage Culture has earned a huge name in the EDM scene. With a rapidly growing fan base, Vintage Culture is definitely on the rise. The Brazilian DJ was listed at number 118 in DJ MAG in 2015. Soon after, he was listed in the “DJ Mag Top 100” DJ.s chart at number fifty-four in 2016. In the following year, he climbed up the ranks and was featured at number 31. He was also considered the “Best DJ of the Year”.
In 2016, Vintage Culture released the EP “Hollywood” by Ganza Seal Skol music in partnership with Spinnin Records. His track “Wild Kidz”, which was released by Spinnin Records was a super hit track. It was also featured on Spotify’s “Global Viral” playlist. The Brazilian DJ and record producer has over 1.5 Billion streams online. Vintage Culture has also collaborated with several popular EDM artists such as David Guetta, Tiësto, Robin Schulz, and Jorja Smith.
